HC Deb 29 June 1893 vol 14 cc333-4
MR. DODD (Essex, Maldon)

I beg to ask the Parliamentary Charity Commissioner whether any, and, if so, what, schemes for Charities have been, during the week ending 24th June, sent to the districts concerned by the Charity Commissioners; and to what newspapers each has been sent?

MR. T. E. ELLIS

The number of schemes published by the Charity Commissioners during the week ending 24th June is, under the Charitable Trusts Acts, 10, and under the Endowed Schools Acts (including the Welsh Intermediate Education Act) two. The cost of advertising the publication of schemes under the Charitable Trusts Acts being borne (not, as in the case of the Endowed Schools Acts, by the Parliamentary Vote) but by the Charities concerned, the instructions for advertising these schemes are given, not by the Commissioners, but by the Trustees.
