HC Deb 27 June 1893 vol 14 c144
MR. HUNTER (Aberdeen, N.)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether a Bill has passed the French Chamber of Deputies introducing universal and compulsory insurance of workmen against accidents; and whether he could obtain a copy of the Bill?

SIR E. GREY

A Bill has passed the French Chamber, and it is substantially the same as the Draft Bill which forms an Appendix to Mr. Stephen's Report on the conditions of labour in France, No. 258 of the Miscellaneous Series of Foreign Office Reports. When the law is officially promulgated a copy shall be placed in the Library of the House of Commons.
