I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland can he state under the provisions of what Act of Parliament was Patrick Farrell recently ordered by the Justices at Tyrrelspass Potty Sessions to undergo one month's imprisonment in default of giving bail, upon a charge of posting threatening notices respecting persons resident at Meedian, in the County Westmeath?

The individual referred to was committed to gaol for one month, in default of finding sureties to be of good behaviour, under the Act 34 of Edward III.
