HC Deb 19 June 1893 vol 13 cc1346-7
MR. KEARLEY (Devonport)

I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will state definitely whether the Government intend, this Session, to introduce the Bill necessary to give effect to that part of the recommendation of the Select Committee on Greenwich Age Pensions (1892), which involves a charge on the Consolidated Fund?

SIR W. HARCOURT

It is intended to give effect to the recommendations of the Committee on this matter, and I am considering how it can best be done. If it is necessary for the purpose to introduce a Bill this Session that course will be adopted.
