HC Deb 19 June 1893 vol 13 c1318
MR. S. MONTAGU (Tower Hamlets, Whitechapel)

I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has considered the case of the outdoor extra men employed at the Custom House; and whether he can give a reply to the Memorial sent to him in February last?

THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Sir W. HARCOURT,) Derby

The Memorial has been very carefully considered, and a decision arrived at. A letter, sanctioning certain improvements in the position of these extra men, is about to be sent to the Commissioners of Customs.
