HC Deb 08 June 1893 vol 13 c539
Mr. THEOBALD

I bog to ask the First Lord of the Treasury if it would not be expedient, considering that this House is desirous of maintaining the supremacy of the Crown in Ireland, to re-substitute the three Crowns on the Irish quarter of the Royal Standard in place of the harp, the harp having taken the place of the three Crowns in the reign of Henry VIII.?

MR. W. E. GLADSTONE

I have not fully informed myself as to the facts raised by this question, and I shall be obliged if the hon. Member will postpone it.
