HANBURY (Preston)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether it is intended to increase the rate of pay of the Probationary Military Staff clerks, Army Pay Department; and, if so, when; would the increase take effect from the 1st January last, in the same way as was done in the case of the Staff Clerks' Section, Army Service Corps; and would the period of service abroad be the same as at present?
§ * MR. CAMPBELL-BANNERMANThe pay of the Probationary Staff clerks will be increased from April 1 last, which is the date from which the new Warrant takes effect. The period of service at foreign stations will be the same as at present.
