HC Deb 12 July 1893 vol 14 c1429
MR. J. CHAMBERLAIN (Birmingham, W.)

I rise to ask you a question on a point of Order. I beg to ask whether it is not a Standing Order of this House that Supply should be put down for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday? Last Friday the House was counted out; last Monday Supply did not appear on the Orders; and to-day, being Wednesday, it does not appear, and I beg to ask if that is not a breach of the Standing Order of the House?

MR. SPEAKER

If that is so, it has probably been forgotten; it should have been set up on these days.

MR. J. CHAMBERLAIN

Then I beg to ask the Member of the Government in charge of the House what he proposes to do under the circumstances?

THE SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Mr. MARJORIBANKS, Berwickshire)

To set it up at once.

MR. J. CHAMBERLAIN

It is after half-past 5.

MR. MARJORIBANKS

On Friday at 2.
