HC Deb 11 July 1893 vol 14 c1282
BARON H. DE WORMS (Liverpool, East Toxteth)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies whether any Convention has been signed and, if so, on what date, by Sir Henry Loch, on behalf of Her Majesty's Government, and President Krüger relative to Swaziland; and whether he can now present Papers to the House on the subject, and state the terms of the Convention?

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES (Mr. S. BUXTON, Tower Hamlets, Poplar)

The Convention has not been signed. The text of it only arrived a day or two ago, and is still under consideration. I am not, therefore, as yet in a position to make any statement or to present Papers; but I hope to do so very shortly.
