§ THE PRESIDENT OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. H. H. FOWLER, Wolverhampton, E.)It is proposed to form a class of Abstractors by promotion of writers in the Department, and an inquiry by an officer of the Treasury is to be made for the purpose of settling the number to constitute the class. The matter, however, has to be considered in connection with other arrangements as regards the staff of the Department.
