§ MR. HARRY S. FOSTERMr. Speaker, I desire to move the Adjournment of the House in order to call attention to a question of definite and urgent public importance—namely, the imminent danger of the importation of cholera into this country, and the inadequacy of the existing arrangements for dealing with that danger.
§ MR. SPEAKERI do not think the hon. Gentleman can move the Adjournment of the House on that question. It is apparent from the language of the hon. Gentleman himself that there are two Motions down on the Paper for next Friday; and, putting these two Motions together, I can conceive that the discussion which would legitimately arise upon them would be precisely the same as would arise under this Motion. Under the circumstances, I am obliged to say that I cannot put the Motion of the hon. Gentleman to the House.
§ MR. H. S. FOSTEROn a point of Order, Sir, I desire to say that I only desired to have your ruling.
