HC Deb 28 February 1893 vol 9 c561
MR. GODSON (Kidderminster)

I beg to ask the Postmaster General whether a bank which acts for the Post Office in any town where there is not any branch of the Bank of England has any right to charge a commission for cashing a Bank of England cheque sent down by the Post Office Authorities to a depositor in the Post Office Savings Bank in that place in payment of a deposit withdrawn.

MR. A. MORLEY

I am not in a position to answer the general question of the hon. Member, but if he will acquaint me with the circumstances of the case which he has in his mind, I will have the case looked into.
