HC Deb 23 February 1893 vol 9 c178
MR. JACOBY (Derbyshire, Mid)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade if he has received a communication from the dairy farmers in Derbyshire respecting the serious injury to their trade in consequence of the increased railway rates and charges; and if he will bring pressure to bear upon the Railway Companies in support of their representations?

MR. MUNDELLA

Yes, Sir; I have received a complaint from the Dairy Farmers' Association in Derbyshire, consisting of 500 members, with regard to the increases in railway rates on their produce, and I am in communication with the companies, through the medium of the Railway Association, on the subject, and I will furnish the hon. Member, as soon as possible, with the replies.
