HC Deb 21 February 1893 vol 9 c36
MR. CLANCY

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether the Government intend to erect a new pier at Baltimore, in accordance with the designs of the late Father Davis, and if the railway will be connected with it; and when it may be expected that the railway will be finished?

SIR J. T. HIBBERT

As I stated yesterday, there are no funds available for erecting a new pier, or for extending the railway, and the Treasury is not prepared to undertake either work. It is expected that the railway will be available for fish traffic in time for the opening of the fishery season at the end of March.
