MR. T. M. HEALY (Louth, N.)

moved to report Progress. He had no objection to the Bill; but when measures which were equally unobjectionable were moved from those Benches distinguished gentlemen of the Opposition—generally a Lord or a right hon.—got up and "objected." He believed this was an admirable Bill, perfect in all its parts, and it was with the greatest reluctance that he offered opposition to it.

Motion made, and Question proposed, "That the Chairman do report Progress, and ask leave to sit again.—(Mr. T. M. Healy.)

hoped they would be allowed to go on with the Bill which had received support from all parts of the House.

If the Tory Members who "object" to my Bill—New Licences (Ireland) Bill—will give me an assurance that they will not obstruct that measure, I will withdraw my opposition to the present Bill.
