HC Deb 16 February 1893 vol 8 c1566

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether any opportunity has been given to the Bailincollig coopers of Cork coopers of providing, the gunpowder casks for the carriage of powder from the manufactory at Ballincollig, County Cork, as repeatedly promised by the Financial Secretary to the War Office under the late Government?

Yes, Sir; an offer was recently made to the Ballincollig Gunpowder Company that they should supply barrels for some powder ordered front their factory, but it was declined with thanks. Should further powder be ordered, the offer will be renewed.
