HC Deb 14 February 1893 vol 8 cc1386-7
MR. KNATCHBULL-HUGESSEN (Kent, Faversham)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Agriculture whether the state of the hop and fruit industries will be within the scope of the Reference to the Select Committee on Agriculture?

MR. GARDNER

I have already stated to the House that the Reference will be of a general character.

MR. CHAPLIN

Seeing the immense interest taken in this inquiry, is there any objection to laying the terms of Reference on the Table at an early date?

MR. GARDNER

I have already said there is no objection. It will be done as soon as the progress of Public Business permits it.
