HC Deb 10 February 1893 vol 8 c1040
MR. DAVID THOMAS () Merthyr Tydvil

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he can state separately for Wales and Monmouthshire, as has been done in the case of Scotland and Ireland, the total amount of expenses incurred by Local Authorities and Railway and other Companies in promoting or opposing Private Bills before Parliament during the six years 1886-1891?

MR. ASQUITH

I am endeavouring to obtain this information; but as the preparation of it will take time, and as to the Railway and other Companies may prove impossible, I must ask my hon. Friend to postpone his question.
