HC Deb 09 February 1893 vol 8 c884
MR. LODER (Brighton)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade Whether the Government contemplate taking any steps to carry out the recommendations contained in the first Report of the Royal Commission on Telegraphic Communication with Lighthouses and Lightships?

MR. JAMES LOWTHER (Kent, Thanet)

I also beg to ask the right hon. Gentleman what steps have been taken towards carrying out the undertaking entered into by the late Government with respect to the establishment of telegraphic or telephonic communication between lighthouses, lightships, and the shore?

MR. MUNDELLA

In answer to these questions, I beg to say this Report only came into my hands a few days ago. I am in communication with the Treasury and the Postmaster General upon the subject of its recommendations.
