§ MR. KNATCHBULL-HUGESSEN (Kent, Faversham)I beg to ask the Civil Lord of the Admiralty whether his 194 attention has been called to the grievances of the engine-room artificers of the Royal Navy in respect of pensions; and whether provision will be made in the Navy Estimates for their receiving a higher rate of pension than at present, or superannuation proportionate to their rank and pay for the time they have been in the service?
§ THE CIVIL LORD OF THE ADMIRALTY (Mr. E. ROBERTSON,) DundeeMy attention has not been called to this matter, but in view of the high average pension (£54 15s.) a year already enjoyed by engine-room artificers, I am not prepared to admit that they have any grievance in regard to pension.
