HC Deb 19 December 1893 vol 19 c1745
MR. PROVAND (Glasgow, Blackfriars)

I beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for India if he has yet received any Factory Inspectors' Reports from India, prepared since the new Factory Act became Law; and, if not, when he expects to receive them; and if he has yet received, or, if not, when he expects to receive, a Report from the Mining Inspector who went to India relating to the condition of labour and the employment of women in mines in India?

THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA (Mr. GEORGE RUSSELL, North Beds)

These Reports have not yet been received. A telegram was sent to the Government of India last week, asking when they might be expected. As soon as the reply is received I will let my hon. Friend know.
