§ SIR T. ESMONDE (Kerry, W.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland if he is aware that the National Gallery Buildings in Dublin require extension; and whether, in view of the fact that a large number of pictures and engravings cannot now be exhibited, while many of those exhibited are only seen under great disadvantage, he will advise the Treasury to give effect to the Resolution of the Board of the 3rd November, 1892?
§ SIR J. T. HIBBERTThe matter has more than once been before the Treasury. I am afraid I can see no prospect, in the present state of the finances, of providing funds for extending the gallery in the Estimates for the ensuing year.
