HC Deb 08 December 1893 vol 19 c832
VISCOUNT WOLMER

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether officers of the Volunteers, who have served 10 years or more in the Regular Army as commissioned officers, will be allowed to reckon any of that service towards qualifying for the Volunteer decoration?

MR. WOODALL

The Royal Warrant awarding this decoration grants it for service in the Volunteer Force exclusively, and it would alter the character of the decoration if the suggested change was made.
