HC Deb 05 December 1893 vol 19 cc473-4
MR. MACDONALD (Tower Hamlets, Bow)

I beg to ask the Postmaster General whether any permanent addition to the staff of the Central Telegraph Office is likely soon to be made? I may say that in putting the question down I quoted from a statement made on the 25th July this year.

MR. SPEAKER

Yes; that was struck out.

MR. A. MORLEY

I have not seen the question as originally framed. I have appointed a Departmental Committee to consider whether any arrangement can be made for economising the time of the telegraph staff. Until I receive the Report of the Committee, which is actively prosecuting the inquiry, I am unable to give a definite reply to the hon. Member.
