HC Deb 31 August 1893 vol 16 c1586
MR. W. REDMOND (Clare, E.)

I beg to ask the First Lord of the Treasury whether he is aware that there exists a strong feeling throughout Ireland that the time has arrived for a reconsideration of the cases of the Irish prisoners now undergoing sentences under the Treason Felony Act; and whether, in consideration of this strong feeling in Ireland, he will consult with the Home Secretary with a view to the release of John Daly and the other prisoners?

MR. W. E. GLADSTONE

The Secretary of State answered a similar question the other day. The Government do not see any cause which would justify them in interfering with that decision.
