HC Deb 29 August 1893 vol 16 c1359
MR. MACDONA (Southwark, Rotherhithe)

I bog to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether he is aware that, on the 24th instant, a boy, named James Henry Fortman, aged 11 years, died of Asiatic cholera at Have-lock Terrace, Dansom Lane, Hull, in the midst of a densely-populated part of the town; and can he inform the House how the disease was imported, or where it originated?

THE SECRETARY TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Sir W. FOSTER, Derby, Ilkeston)

As additional circumstances have come to light, the Government have sent down Inspectors to Hull to inquire into the case.
