§ *THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. CAMPBELL-BANNERMAN,) Stirling, &c.The proposal to send a battalion to Fort George has bad to be abandoned for the present, owing to the unsatisfactory state of the water supply at that station. A scheme for improving the water supply is now under consideration.
