HC Deb 25 August 1893 vol 16 c1107
MR. HOZIER (Lanarkshire, S.)

May I ask the Prime Minister when the Government propose to introduce the Suspensory Bill for the Church of Scotland? I ask the question, because I believe the right hon. Gentleman to-day received a deputation of hon. Members in support of the Bill.

MR. W. E. GLADSTONE

In the absence of my right hon. Friend the Secretary for Scotland, I should not like to say anything of a positive character upon the subject; but I think the hon. Member is quite justified in putting the question, and, if he will allow me to have a word with my right hon. Friend, I shall be quite prepared to answer him.
