HC Deb 21 August 1893 vol 16 c628
MR. PAUL (Edinburgh, S.)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether the Treasury have now considered the claims of the attendants at the Edinburgh Museum to be placed on an equal footing as regards pay, promotion, and leave with attendants doing similar work at South Kensington; and, if so, what is the decision of the Department?

*THE SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Sir J. T. HIBBERT,) Oldham

Yes, Sir; the decision of the Treasury was conveyed to the Science and Art Department in a letter dated the 27th July, and the rates of pay have been improved so as to approximate to those in force in London and Dublin.
