HC Deb 17 August 1893 vol 16 cc427-8
MR. YERBURGH (Chester)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Agriculture whether he proposes to bring in a Bill to carry out the recommendations of the Lords' Committee upon the Marking of Foreign and Colonial Meat?

MR. MUNDELLA

The Report of this Committee has only just been circulated, and the evidence is not yet available, so that I have had no opportunity of considering it with my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Agriculture. Under these circumstances, we are unable at present to make any statement on the subject.

MR. YERBURGH

When will some definite statement be made?

MR. MUNDELLA

It is evident none can be made till we have read and considered the evidence.
