HC Deb 15 August 1893 vol 16 c240
MR. J. E. ELLIS (Nottingham, Rushcliffe)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade whether, having regard to the statements made by some of the survivors of the lamentable accident on the Taff Vale Railway on the 12th August, the Inspector sent down will pay specific attention at the Board of Trade inquiry to the question of how far the carriage doors were locked, and whether this had any bearing on the magnitude of the disaster?

MR. MUNDELLA

Yes, Sir; Major Marindin's attention has been specially directed to this point.
