§ COMMANDER BETHELL (York, E.R., Holderness)I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade if he can state whether the German Government instructed the German Consul at Talcahuano, Chili, to make inquiry of the officers and men of the German barque, Thekla, into the alleged sinking of the steam trawler, Dogger Bank, by the Thekla, in April last, or if any other steps have been taken in the matter?
§ * MR. MUNDELLAAs I stated in reply to the question put to me by the hon. Member on 1st dune last, Her Majesty's Government are in communication with the German Government with regard to the case referred to, but at present have no definite information as to their action.
