BRYNMOR JONES () Gloucester, StroudI beg to ask the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can state when the Report on Storage Reservoirs in Egypt, to which Her Majesty's Agent and Consul General has referred in his Report, March, 1893, page 14, will be published by the Egyptian Government; and whether the Government will consider the advisability of requesting Her Majesty's Agent and Consul General at Cairo to communicate so much of it as may affect British interests to Her Majesty's Government at the earliest convenient time, with a view to its being laid upon the Table of the House?
§ THE UNDER SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Sir E. GREY,) Northumberland, BerwickPage 15 of the Report from Her Majesty's Agent and Consul General shows that the Report is not expected to be ready till the spring of 1894. The interests involved are Egyptian, and there does not appear to be any reason for incurring the expense of laying the scheme, or part of it, before Parliament, the question to be considered being of a highly technical nature, only to be properly dealt with by experts.
