§ MR. FIELD (Dublin, St. Patrick's)I beg to ask the Postmaster General whether certain Post Office buildings in Ireland require to be roofed; and will Killaloe slates be used in the Irish building contracts in his Department?
§ THE SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Sir J. T. HIBBERT,) OldhamI am informed that the tenders for the Post Office roofs alluded to were accepted a year ago on a specification which did not name Killaloe slates; but I may refer to my answer to the hon. Member for East Clare on the 24th March, in which I stated the present policy of the Board of Works with regard to these slates.
