HC Deb 18 April 1893 vol 11 c554
MR. ARNOLD-FORSTER (Belfast, W.)

I beg to ask the Secretary to the Admiralty what docks are available at Gibraltar and Malta, in case of war, for the reception and repair of first-class battle-ships which may be damaged in action; which of such docks are dry docks; and what are the dimensions of the same?

MR. E. ROBERTSON

There are no clocks at Gibraltar. There are no wet docks at Malta. The dimensions of the four dry docks at Malta vary from 256ft. to" 526ft. in length, and from 82ft, to 126ft. in breadth.
