HC Deb 13 April 1893 vol 11 c194
MR. A. O'CONNOR (Donegal, E.)

I beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the Revenue Authorities keep any official record, compiled from their own figures, of the quantity of beer removed from one part of the United Kingdom to another part, or whether they are dependent for information on this point upon brewers, shippers, and carrying companies; and, in the latter case, what check they have upon the accuracy or completeness of the Returns?

*THE CHANCELLOR OF THE EXCHEQUER (Sir W. HARCOURT,) Derby

The answer to the hon. Member's question will be found on page 10 of the Financial Relations Return, House of Commons Paper 329, of 1891.
