PEARSON,) Edinburgh and St. Andrew's UniversitiesThe Report referred to in the question is still under the consideration of the Secretary for Scotland, who hopes shortly to be in a position to make proposals to the Treasury; and as regards the latter part, I must refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave on the 16th instant, when I said that it is not intended to lay the Report on the Table, as it is not thought that such a course would be of public benefit.
