COLONEL NOLANI beg to ask the Attorney General for Ireland if he would, before the Local Government Bill enters on the Committee stage, lay upon the Table of the House a Return, or short statement, of the legal status of county surveyors, which statement would explain how far the county surveyor is bound to follow the rulings of the Grand Jury or of Presentment Sessions, and in what points, as to passing of repairs, &c., he can act on his own initiative or judgment?
