I should like to ask the Under Secretary for the Colonies whether he can give the House any further information as to the operation of the British forces in West Africa?

The following telegram has been received from Lagos, dated 23rd May:— Information received from reliable source, not from officer in charge of expedition, Jebu Ode taken May 20, after considerable resistance. King captured. Willoughby, native officer, killed, and three men; four officers wounded, not seriously, also twenty-five men. Starting for Jebu Ode, May 24.—CARTER.
