HC Deb 19 May 1892 vol 4 c1285
MR. DONAL SULLIVAN (Westmeath, S.)

I beg to ask the Attorney General for Ireland whether the attention of the Lord Chancellor of Ireland has been directed to the case of the Hon. Patrick Greville Nugent, who was tried at the Sessions House, Clerkenwell, on Thursday, 12th May, for assaulting a young lady in a railway carriage, and was sentenced by Sir Peter Edlin to six months' imprisonment with hard labour, in view of the fact that Mr. Nugent is a J.P. and D.L. for the County Westmeath?

THE ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR IRELAND (Mr. MADDEN,) Dublin University

I am informed he has been removed from those positions by the Lord Chancellor.
