Motion made, and Question proposed,
That leave be given to bring in a Bill to amend the existing constitution of the Naval Knights of Windsor."—(Lord G. Hamilton.)
§ SIR W. LAWSON (Cumberland, Cockermouth)
I wish the noble Lord would give us some explanation as to this Bill. It is somewhat unusual to bring in a Bill of this kind at this period of the Session, and I hope there is nothing seriously wrong with the constitution of the Knights of Windsor.
§ LORD G. HAMILTON
This is not a Bill of the first importance; and if the hon. Gentleman will assent to this Motion, I will have a Memorandum attached to the Bill which will give all the information he desires.
§ Motion agreed to.
§ Bill ordered to be brought in by Lord G. Hamilton, Mr. Forwood, and Mr. Ashmead-Bartlett.
§ Bill presented, and read first time. [Bill 359.]
