HC Deb 19 May 1892 vol 4 c1309

Motion made, and Question proposed, That leave be given to bring in a Bill to amend the existing constitution of the Naval Knights of Windsor."—(Lord G. Hamilton.)

SIR W. LAWSON (Cumberland, Cockermouth)

I wish the noble Lord would give us some explanation as to this Bill. It is somewhat unusual to bring in a Bill of this kind at this period of the Session, and I hope there is nothing seriously wrong with the constitution of the Knights of Windsor.

LORD G. HAMILTON

This is not a Bill of the first importance; and if the hon. Gentleman will assent to this Motion, I will have a Memorandum attached to the Bill which will give all the information he desires.

Motion agreed to.

Bill ordered to be brought in by Lord G. Hamilton, Mr. Forwood, and Mr. Ashmead-Bartlett.

Bill presented, and read first time. [Bill 359.]
