CAMERON (Glasgow, College)I beg to ask the Lord Advocate whether he is aware that, while suitors resident in England and Ireland can sue a debtor in Scotland without giving security for costs, a person resident in Scotland or Ireland suing a debtor in an English County Court is compelled, under Order 5, Rule 7, to find security for costs to the satisfaction of the Registrar before a summons is issued; and whether he will endeavour to get this anomaly rectified?

Member, and I cannot, therefore, believe that any widespread grievance exists. I will, however, look into the matter.
