Motion made, and Question proposed,
That, towards raising the Supply granted to Her Majesty, there shall be charged, collected, and paid for the year which commenced on the sixth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, in respect of all Property, Profits, and Gains mentioned or described as chargeable in 'The Income Tax Act, 1853,' the following Duties of Income Tax (that is to say):—
§ *MR. BARTLEY (Islington, N.)I do not want to detain the Committee now, but I give Notice to the Chancellor of the Exchequer that when the Bill comes before the House in Committee 1083 I shall raise the question of differential rates as between industrial incomes and, spontaneous incomes—as between incomes from capital and from industry; and unless I get some satisfactory indication that the subject will be considered, I hope to take a Division.
