HC Deb 03 May 1892 vol 4 c15
MR. CREMER (Shoreditch, Haggerston)

I wish to give notice that it is not my intention to proceed with the Motion standing in my name, relating to arbitration between Great Britain and the United States, at this Evening Sitting. I was not aware until a few hours ago that the Motion was to be seconded by the right hon. Baronet the Member for the University of London (Sir J. Lubbock), and supported by various Members in different parts of the House; and having taken counsel with my friends who have given me countenance and help in this matter I have decided not to proceed with it. I will trust to the chances of the ballot to decide when it shall come on.
