HC Deb 02 May 1892 vol 3 c1760
MR. T. W. RUSSELL (Tyrone, S.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland whether the dietary for pupil teachers in the Irish Model Schools is prescribed by the National Board of Education; and, if so, whether any pains are taken to insure that the food, supplied is either sufficient in quantity or of a prescribed quality?

* MR. JACKSON

I understand from the Commissioners of National Education that the dietary for the pupil teachers is prescribed by the Board, and that it is part of the duty of the Inspectors in charge of the Model Schools to see that the dietary is sufficient both in quantity and of the quality prescribed.
