HC Deb 31 March 1892 vol 3 c339
MR. W. LOWTHER (Westmoreland, Appleby)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether there have been any cases of typhoid fever amongst the officers at the St. John's Wood Barracks within the last three weeks?

* MR. E. STANHOPE

I regret to say that Second-Lieutenant Viscount Sudley was reported on 12th March as sick with enteric fever. There does not appear to be evidence that the disease was contracted in barracks, and I am glad to hear that the case is proceeding favourably. I may add that these barracks have been recently examined and no insanitary conditions have been detected.
