HC Deb 04 March 1892 vol 2 cc34-5
MR. WINTERBOTHAM (Gloucester, Cirencester)

I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether, in view of the repeated prosecutions in Gloucestershire of parents conscientiously objecting to vaccination, notably in the case of Mr. Owen Watts, of Stow-in-the-Wold, who has been repeatedly fined for the same children, he will call the attention of the Guardians concerned to the Evesham Letter, and will recommend the observance of the suggestions made in that Letter?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. RITCHIE,) Tower Hamlets, St. George's

I do not know anything about the circumstances stated in the question of the hon. Gentleman. As regards the fines imposed at Petty Sessions on Mr. Owen Watts, I have already sent the letter of Mr. Owen Watts to the Guardians.
