HC Deb 04 March 1892 vol 2 c38
MR. CLANCY

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War if he has considered the memorial presented to him from the fishermen, owners of property, and other inhabitants of Howth Baldoyle and Malahide, in the county of Dublin, against the proposal to establish a rifle range and Military camp at Portmarnock; and, if so, whether he will state the decision at which he has arrived on the subject?

THE SECRETAEY OF STATE FOR WAR (Mr. E. STANHOPE,) Lincolnshire, Horncastle

Yes, Sir; this subject has been considered by the War Office, and I have to say that before proceeding further there shall be held an inquiry on or near the spot, at which all objections can be fully heard.
