HC Deb 02 March 1892 vol 1 c1711

Order for Second Reading read.

THE CHIEF SECRETARY FOR IRELAND (Mr. JACKSON, Leeds, N.)

I have not had the opportunity of consulting the Irish Local Government Board upon this Bill. I understand the Bill does contain some useful provisions, and I do not now object to the Second Reading; but I wish to guard myself against the supposition that I assent to all the proposals in the Bill, as to which I wish to consult with the Local Government Board in Ireland.

Bill read a second time, and committed for Monday
