§ MR. SEXTON (for Mr. TIMOTHY HEALY)I beg to ask the Postmaster General if he will explain on what grounds Mr. Henry Doran, who for nearly forty years was postmaster at Lenamore, County Longford, and who was obliged to retire through old age, has been refused a pension; and, if so, why?
§ SIR JAMES FERGUSSONNo application for pension has been received. The sub-postmaster resigned on the 21st December last, owing, as he stated, to failing health. Under the circumstances of his employment, it would not be possible to obtain a pension for him.
